Sept 6, 2017 Bank of Canada Meets

September 6th, 2017

Thursday will be the ECB, but today we get a warm up with the BoC that might come out hawkish and actually raise rates. For the ECB growth has been good, but Draghi will be trying to talk down the Euro which has been on a good run over arguing that the stronger euro is hurting GDP growth. Tonight futures are Flat in the third hour of the European Session. Shanghai futures were mixed gold and rubber up with copper and everything else down. For Hurricane Irma there are models that damages could go past Katrina Numbers. I really hope everyone leaves the area before the weekend. Oil is up .50%. Yen is up over the Korean tension and after Uber Dove Kashkari came out blaming the Fed for wage growth (OMG, he has no fear about this historical experiment of massive QE). China Yuan is still pushing higher which isn’t helping exporters at all. Cypto Currencies are having the dip buyers coming in with no new news out of China tonight.

    GM TN. How’s the fire?

I spent yesterday cleaning out a closet. That was the 3rd day on that one closet. OMG. This was the “wrapping paper” closet and I haven’t used wrapping paper in a long time. Neighborhood kids used to sell wrapping paper to raise money for school and like a sucker I bought the stuff and never used it ….. Plus I had a whole lot more of those gift bags than I imagined. Alot of tissue paper. Alot of gift tags. I sorted gift bags by Christmas and non-Christmas ….. And alot of white elephant type gifts – the only one of those I saved was a pink flamingo glitter snow globe. I still have the top shelf in that closet and …. you know the top shelf of every closet could use a good cleaning. When I was a kid – my Mom would take everything in the closet and dump it on the floor and make us clean it up. Ugh.

2 trips to GoodWill. They took the whole rolls of wrapping paper. I just recycled the opened rolls – but the whole rolls were a much larger amount – I just kept buying the stuff from the neighbor kids and never used it. OMG. That assuaged my guilt over taking the white elephant gifts plus some books.

Anyway – that closet looks about 2000% better. That’s the good news. And I don’t have to buy gift bags or tissue paper for a long time. Maybe never. And I won’t buy any more wrapping paper from the neighbor kids – but nobody has asked in a few years either. I will just give them a donation!

haircut apptmt later today and …

ROFL, I so just woke up and saw it and was about to post it…from bloomberg, lol…Fischer, 73, submitted his letter of resignation today, effective on or around Oct. 13, the Fed announced. He had served since 2014 as vice chair and has been a reliable ally of Fed Chair Janet Yellen.

They have been really having pretty good data even with the pending Nafta mess and drop in oil.

Fire is put out but air sucks…lol…well it’s always bad, but smoke now. Congrats on Summer Cleaning. And you are a good person buying the fundraising stuff and donating it. I get candy drives a lot..but no gift wrapping. I have to clean my closets…but it’s summer, lol, at least a few more weeks of fun and sun.
